Things I'm Loving Right Now

Lots of people do this in video or blog form so I thought I'd give it a shot! These are just a few of the things (in various categories) that I'm loving right now!

Lost: I started watching only a few weeks ago, and I'm already on season 4! The second I started watching, I knew it was going to be that type of show that destroys me. I've become so obsessed with the characters, the suspense, the cinematography, and the writing of this show. Usually I'm really bad about spoiling myself when I watch shows that have already aired. With Lost, the last thing I want to do is to look up what happens because I'm so enthralled. There are a few things I know about the ending, which sort of sucks, but hopefully that won't entirely impact my experience finishing the show. Can't.....stop..........watching.............

MAC Zoom Lash Mascara: I got this mascara as a mini size in a little set I bought at an outlet, and I've always liked it. Lately, I've been using it a little bit differently than usual and I LOVE the effect it's given me and I'm definitely thinking about buying a full size when I run out.

iBooks/Reading on my iPad: So I was one of those people who was super excited to get an iPad and do all of the super cool things it could do. I'm a total Apple geek and I loved it. And I was also one of those people who stopped using it as much and stopped being so excited by it. But that was when I was at school. At home, I've been taking the train into work and just have a lot more free time in general, which gives me a substantial amount of time to read. I've been using my iPad as an eReader and I absolutely love it. It's just so easy to take with me and I read really quickly, so it's easier to get more books. Basically I love it again and will definitely be using it to read much more often when I go back to school.

The Help: On that note, I'm currently reading The Help, which I absolutely love. I'm not too far in, but I'm loving the style of writing and the characters. I waited to see the movie until I read the book so hopefully I'll be watching that soon too!
Flavors: Since I've been working in the city, I've had the chance to explore the neighborhood I'm working in (which is just below Wall Street downtown). The other day, I tried this really great place called Flavors, which specializes in fresh, organic lunch foods like sandwiches, soups, salads, etc. It was pretty reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. I had a avocado, cheese, tomato, and pesto sandwich on multi-grain and it pretty much gave me a lunch-gasm. If you're in Manhattan, I highly recommend trying to find one of these places. Even though I'll probably bring lunch most days, I know where I'll be heading when I don't (also you can order online squeee!).

Michael Henry & Justin Robinett: The last thing I'll talk about is these guys. Man, oh man. These two guys are known on YouTube as justinrobinett and they are some of the most talented singers/performers I've come across. Their harmonies and the way they change songs when they cover them is so pleasing to listen to and I highly recommend checking them out. In their old, less professional videos, they would have something ridiculous going on in the background of each of their videos which I find hilarious. So yeah. They're great and I've pretty much had their stuff on repeat.

OKAY I think that's it for now! Thanks for reading (if you did) and hopefully you enjoyed it and are either also interested in some of these things, or I've given you some new recommendations! Some people have a little signature thing at the bottom of their blog to keep all of their posts consistent and until I have something like that figured out, I hope you're having a great whatever-time-it-is-wherever-you-are!
